“MMC fostered my passion for art therapy and provided me with a road map to a successful future. I received my Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Creativity Development at Pratt Institute in 2017 and am now an Art Therapist at RiverSpring Health working with a geriatric population.”

After graduating in 2014 with a BA in Communication Arts, and having taken Professor Rachel Brandoff’s Art Therapy class during her final semester, Amanda Clears ’14 wanted a to pursue a career in the field of art therapy. After graduating, she returned to MMC, taking courses in both psychology and studio art in order to attain the pre-requisites for graduate school. With the support of the Psychology and Art professors, her concluding time at Marymount Manhattan was “the most enjoyable educational experience” of her life.
