When asked for particular advice for MMC students struggling during the pandemic, Silton shares, “Students should try to ensure they are being good to themselves and to their physical and mental health. See if you can get outside at least once each day—even if it’s brief. Pursue mindfulness, meditation, and exercise for your body and mind. Practice safety, but also ensure you are staying social and connected to friends and loved ones. If you need to seek more significant counsel, look out for wonderful mental health professionals, who can help you better navigate this challenging time. We at Marymount Manhattan are giving you a deep, virtual embrace and hope to see you in-person soon.”
