As an artist and aspiring animator, I have an admiration for everything that goes into the animation process. While animation is the collaboration of numerous parts to make the illusion work, what I consider to be the most intricate is what goes into animating a character— drawing the subtleties of expression and body language that turn a series of drawings into a believable person. I’ve seen it said before that when you are animating you are not making a picture move, but creating a performance; this is something I hope to achieve through my work be it animation itself or still images such as storyboards. I intend by my BFA in Animation and Illustration to launch my career.
