Cyrille Phipps is a media educator/filmmaker based in New York City. She received a BFA in Film Drama from Syracuse University and MA in Media Studies from The New School. She has over twenty years of production experience in film and video, working on music videos, short films, webisodes and collaborated on various documentaries that have aired on PBS, TNT and the BBC. As an educator, Cyrille served as an Adjunct Professor at City College, L.I.U. and at Essex County College. Currently, she teaches at John Jay College and Marymount Manhattan College. As a media professional, she was a Producer/Editor creating multimedia content for Volume.com, a division of HBO. She was also the Director of Production Services and then Managing Director of Services at Manhattan Neighborhood Network. In addition, she served as the Senior Editor of Broadband Video at TVLand Digital for Viacom and a Producer/Editor at Sesame Workshop creating educational content for Teacher Apps through Sesame Learning.
