MMC Elects New Members to Board of Trustees

Marymount Manhattan College is pleased to announce the election of two new members to the Board of Trustees, Stacey Ryan-Cornelius and Kristina Stroh Gimbel ’93. They join the Board in overseeing MMC’s mission, fiscal integrity, and educational quality for our students.

Stacey Ryan-Cornelius

Stacey Ryan-Cornelius, Global Chief Financial Officer of OgilvyStacey Ryan-Cornelius, Global Chief Financial Officer of OgilvyStacey Ryan-Cornelius. Stacey is an innovative finance professional and business partner with over 25 years of experience in the entertainment, media, and communications industries. After receiving her B.A. of Business Administration in Accounting from the City University of New York-Baruch College in 1992, she began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC). In 1999, she left PWC to begin a 19-year tenure at Ogilvy & Mather. During this tenure, Stacey held leadership roles at the regional and worldwide levels. She was directly responsible for managing the analysis, risk assessment, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of over 600 operating units in the global operations of Ogilvy & Mather.

In January 2018, Stacey was promoted to Global Chief Financial Officer of WPP Health & Wellness where she spent 15 months restructuring the portfolio, executing key transformation initiatives, and delivering financial and strategic direction across 64 operating units in the US, Canada, EMEA, and Asia. In April 2019, Stacey briefly joined Geometry Global as their Global Chief Financial Officer. Stacey has recently rejoined Ogilvy as Global Chief Financial Officer, where she “looks forward to partnering with other company leaders to drive meaningful, and lasting progress when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

Stacey has been featured by Black Enterprise Magazine as one of the 75 Most Powerful Women in Business and is often called upon to speak about diversity, inclusion, and the importance of increased representation across all levels of the marketing and communications industry.

Kristina Stroh Gimbel

Kristina Stroh Gimbel ’93, Owner of Banksville YogaKristina Stroh Gimbel ’93, Owner of Banksville YogaOriginally from California, Kristina attended the Purnell School and graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in 1993 with a BFA in Theatre. She also worked toward a master’s degree in deaf education at Columbia University. Kristina is the daughter of the late Nicholas Wetherill Stroh (1937-1971), a reporter for The Detroit News and scion of the Stroh family that founded the beverage business bearing his name.

Kristina is the owner of Banksville Yoga in Greenwich, CT, where she also teaches classes (now, via Zoom). Kristina’s husband, Louis Stuart Gimbel IV, CEO of Hopsteiner/S.S. Steiner, is a member of the ILR Dean’s Advisory Council at Cornell where he graduated in 1990.
